Staten Island, NY---The Brooklyn College women's volleyball picked up two clean sweep wins today, defeating Staten Island and Medgar Evers 3-0 a piece in a CUNYAC tri-match hosted by CSI. The Bulldogs improve to 4-3 in the conference and 6-16 overall with the victories. BC has now won three matches in a row for their longest streak of the season. The Bulldogs will be back in action on Thursday at Sarah Lawrence at 7:00 pm. Brooklyn completes their conference schedule at home against York on October 25th.
In the tri-match opener, the Bulldogs set the tone of the day in the first set, leading 15-14 BC rattled off eight unanswered points ending with a 25-15 win. The Dolphins and Bulldogs would go back and forth in the second set until BC went off again. Already leading 17-14, Brooklyn scored eight straight to win the second set handily. CSI made a last-ditch effort in the third set to avoid the sweep, but the Bulldogs countered any threat and responded with runs of their own to diminish the Dolphins' momentum. Leading 23-22, BC benefited from a CSI service error and attack error to win the match.

The Bulldogs rolled in the second match of the day, defeating Medgar Evers for the second time this season, 3-0 (25-12, 25-8, 25-15).
