The Bulldogs drop to 3-7 on the season with the non-conference loss. Brooklyn will look to bounce back tomorrow, 12/29, as they take on fellow New Yorker, Oneonta State, at 7:00 pm. The Bulldogs' two-week layoff was evident as they fell behind 10-0 to start the game. Senior guard,
Austin Wood, ended the scoring drought at the 15:49 mark. Wood would bang a three-point field goal twenty seconds later to cut the LVC lead to seven, which would be the closest the Bulldogs would get for the remainder of the first half as the Flying Dutchmen would go on to lead by as many as 21 points. The Bulldogs trailed LVC 47-26 at the half.
Unfortunately for BC, the Flying Dutchmen picked up where they left off to start the second half with two unanswered buckets to extend their lead to 25 points, which was their largest of the game. Brooklyn cut the LVC lead to under 20 points on numerous occasions in the second half, but wasn't able to put together a run that could have changed the momentum of the game.
Brooklyn shot 38.5% from the floor as a team including 20.8% from beyond the arc. The Bulldogs didn't help themselves from the foul line, shooting 33.3% (5-15) to Lebanon Valley's 92.3% (12-13).
The Bulldogs forced 19 Flying Dutchmen turnovers to their 16.
Brooklyn was led by senior center Enees Nikovic's 19-point, 16-rebound double-double. Wood added 15 points on the evening, and junior point guard
Niv Konfino looked good in his first game back after missing four contests due to an injury, finishing with 13 points as BC's third double-digit scorer on the evening.
Lebanon Valley's Sam Light led all scorers with 22 points off of the bench on 10-11 from the floor including a perfect 2-2 from beyond the arc.
