Daytona Beach, FL---Despite taking care of the basketball with only nine turnovers on the evening, the Brooklyn College men's basketball team dropped their second game in a row at the Land of Magic Classic to Oneonta State (6-4), 87-62, this evening. The Bulldogs drop to 3-8 overall with the defeat. Brooklyn returns home on January 2 to host No. 24 Denison University of Ohio. Tip-off is set for 6:00 pm.
With the Bulldogs leading 6-5 to start the game, the Red Dragons would take the lead for good at the 16:25 mark in the first half.
Trailing by eight points, the Bulldogs put consecutive buckets together to cut it to a two-possession game with 12:24 remaining in the opening period. However, the Red Dragons responded with an 8-0 run of their own to put BC in a twelve point hole with 10:13 left in the first half.

Michael Tesoriero cut Oneonta's lead back down to four points with 4:24 to go in the first half. The Red Dragons then closed out the first half with an 11-4 run to grab a 39-28 halftime lead.
The teams traded baskets through the first five minutes of the second half until the Red Dragons went on a 9-1 run over a four-minute stretch that put the Bulldogs in a 22-point hole they wouldn't be able to recover from. Oneonta led by as many as 33 points in the second half.
Brooklyn had a tough night from behind the arc shooting 25.0% (5-20) for the game. The Red Dragons shot an efficient 49.3% from the field as a team.
The Bulldogs were led by senior center Enees Nikovic's 20 points and eight rebounds off of the bench. Junior point guard
Niv Konfino had another solid showing in Florida adding 15 points and dishing out eight assists with only two turnovers on the night. Senior guard
Austin Wood also reached double-digits in scoring for the Bulldogs with 13 points.
