Game Recap: Men's Volleyball |

Bulldogs Pull Out 3-2 Victory at Lehman

Bronx, NY---Trailing 2-0 to start the match, the Brooklyn College men's volleyball team rallied to pull out a 3-2 (23-25, 21-25, 25-19, 25-18, 15-11) victory at Lehman this evening.  BC sweeps the season series with the victory, improving to 5-9 overall on the season and 2-4 in conference play.  The Bulldogs will be back on the court on Thursday, February 25, at home against York.  Opening serve is scheduled for 7:00 PM.  

After dropping two close games to start the match, the Bulldogs started the third game with a 6-1 lead.  Leading 8-5, the Bulldogs scored four straight points and never looked back.  

BC would jump out to a 10-2 lead to start the fourth game.  The Lightning battled back, cutting the Brooklyn lead to 16-12.  However, the Bulldogs responded with three in a row   BC ended ended the fourth game with two straight points.

Tied 4-4 to start the tie-breaker, the Bulldogs scored seven of the next eight points in the game to take a commanding 11-5 lead.  The Lightning came back to cut the BC lead to 12-9, however the Bulldogs scored two straight and after a Lehman point ended the match on a Moaz Choudhary kill.  

Freshman outside hitter Vaughn Titus led the Bulldogs with 20.5 points including 17 kills, three service aces, and assisted block.  Sophomore captain Rudy Zhao added 16 points on 13 kills, a service ace, a solo block, and two assisted blocks.  Freshman setter Sayuj Zachariah finished with 44 assists on the evening.
