Brooklyn, NY---The Brooklyn men's volleyball team won their home opener this evening in front of a loyal fan base over Albertus Magnus, 3-1. BC improves to 2-5 overall with the non-conference victory. Albertus drops their second in a row to start the season. The Bulldogs will open CUNYAC play as they play a multi-match at Baruch. BC will play the host at noon followed by a match with Lehman at 2:00 PM.
The Bulldogs split the first two games with the falcons.
Tied 4-4 in the first game, the Bulldogs rattled off eight points in a row leading to a 25-17 victory in the match opener.
Despite jumping out to 6-1 lead to start the second game, the Bulldogs saw the Falcons chip away at their lead and score nine unanswered points in the latter parts of the game to tie the match 1-1 with a 25-20 victory.
With plenty of support from the Brooklyn fans, the Bulldogs took an early 11-4 lead after falling behind 4-0 to start the third game. They maintained a comfortable lead through the majorty of the game to win 25-17.
Looking like the Bulldogs would cruise to a fourth game victory to win the match, the Falcons scored six straight points for the 22-19 lead. However, the Bulldogs scored six of the last seven points of the game for the 25-23 victory in dramatic fashion.

Rudy Zhao's 14 points including 13 kills on the evening. Freshman
Vaughn Titus continues to impress finishing with 13.5 points on the evening including 12 kills. Freshman setter
Sayuj Zachariah finished with 27 assists. Freshman
Hosep Ohanian led the Bulldogs with 11 digs.
