WEST QUAD CENTER Brooklyn, NY---The Brooklyn College men's volleyball team dropped their fifth match in a row this evening, falling in non-conference action to a young but talented Wittenberg University team from Ohio. BC drops to 4-15 with the defeat and the Tigers improve to 10-5 with the victory on their Spring Break trip to NY. The Bulldogs will return CUNYAC action on Thursday to host College of Staten Island at the West Quad Center on the Brooklyn College Campus. Opening service is scheduled for 6:00 PM.
Keeping it close through the first 17 points of the first set, the Bulldogs trailed 8-9. However, the Tigers would score four unanswered points to create some distance. The Bulldogs cut the lead to 16-14 until WU went on another 4-0 run, which was the difference they needed to close out the opening set, 25-19.
The Tigers jumped out to a 14-1 lead in the second game and never looked back, winning in convincing fashion, 25-6.
BC still showed some life in the third set, scoring the first three points of the match. The Tigers responded in a big way with 11 unanswered points. BC cut the lead to 17-12, but the two teams traded points the remainder of the set, which worked in the Tigers' favor.
