Brooklyn, NY---A couple of days after winning their first two games of the season, the Brooklyn College got a taste of the top of the CUNYAC, falling to College of Staten in both games of a doubleheader. The Dolphins rolled to a 21-0 victory in the first game and closed the afternoon with a 22-0 win in the second game. BC drops to 2-10 overall on the season and 0-6 in the conference. Staten Island imrpoves to 9-5 and 4-0 in the CUNYAC with the wins. The Bulldogs will be back in action tomorrow at Brooklyn College Field to host John Jay in a non-conference doubleheader. First pitch of the scheduled doubleheader is set for 5:00 PM. In addition, it will be WHITEOUT NIGHT and the first 150 fans will receive a Brooklyn College Athletics t-shirt with admission.
CSI's starting pitcher Jacqueline Cautela pitched five innings of perfect softball for the win, striking out 13 Brooklyn batters. After scoring a run in the top of the first inning, the Dolphins poured it on consistently through the remainder of the game combining for 26 hits.
The Dolphins' fireballer Nicolette Trapani pitched a complete game no-hitter, striking out 11 BC batters in the second game. CSI exploded for 9 runs in the first inning and never looked back. BC's only base runner of the afternoon was senior pitcher
