BROOKLYN COLLEGE FIELD---Following their biggest win so far this season on Monday, a 6-5 home victory in non-conference game against Jay John, the Bulldogs were shut out 21-0 on Wednesday evening in non-conference play against SUNY New Paltz. The Bulldogs drop to 3-12 overall on the season. New Paltz improves to 9-8 with the victory. BC will be back on the field on Thursday to host the College of St. Elizabeth in another non-conference doubleheader slated for a 5:00 PM first pitch.
The Hawks jumped out to a 7-0 in the top of the first inning and never looked back adding seven more runs in the top of the seventh inning.
BC's lone base runner of the evening was
Kyla Gardner who hit a double into right field in the bottom of the second inning with two outs that the Bulldogs weren't able to capitalize on.
Other than the hit, New Paltz's pitching duo hurled near perfect softball not even yielding a walk. The Hawks' Fallon Spriggs hit for the cycle for New Paltz.
