Florham, NJ---A 0-0 stalemate through the first sixty minutes of the match, Fairleigh Dickinson scored the game-winner in the 61st minute, handing the BC women's soccer team a defeat to start the 2016 season.  The Bulldogs will look to bounce back on Wednesday, 9/7, as they travel to Montclair State.  Kickoff is slated for 8:00 pm.  

Remaining positive in the losing effort, head coach, Patrick Horne, would comment after the match, "It was good team effort throughout the game.  We just have to work out some kinks with players new to the team.  I thought our senior back, Jasmine Fermin, was super today."

Despite the power shift looking lopsided on paper with the Devils outshooting BC 22-4, it would take a long cross to a header for the FDU victory.  All four of the Bulldogs' shots were on-goal.   Forward Victoria Ramiriez finished the match with two shots on-goal. 

In her college soccer debut in goal, senior keeper, Samantha Rodriguez, finished with 11 saves in nintey minutes between the sticks.
