Abington, PA---The Brooklyn College women's volleyball team dropped a pair of matches this evening in a tri-match hosted by Penn State Abington. In their first match of the evening, the Bulldogs fell to King's College (PA) 0-3 (15-25, 13-25, 7-25). The host school handed the Bulldogs their second loss of the season, 1-3 (21-25, 21-25, 25-17, 23-25). Brooklyn will look to bounce back on Thursday, September 8, as they travel to Manhattan to take on John Jay in a non-conference bout. Opening serve is scheduled for 6:00 pm.
In Game 1 against King's, the Bulldogs were led by senior outside hitter
Christolia Butler's four kills. Junior defensive specialist
Sarina Rozek added three kills. Freshman libero
Monineath Pen led BC with two blocks and nine assists.
The Bulldogs fought until the very against the home team, winning the third set and just edged in the fourth set. Butler once again led the Bulldogs with seven kills and five blocks. Senior middle hitter
Francesca LoCascio served up six aces. Rozek finished with 33 digs.
The Nittany Lions would sweep the tri-match for the evening, defeating King's 3-2.
