Ramapo, NJ---The Brooklyn College women's volleyball team dropped a pair of matches this afternoon at the Ramapo Invitational. BC fell in their first match to the host, 3-0, and ended the trip with a 3-0 loss to Alfred State. The Bulldogs drop to 3-15 overall on the season with the two non-conference defeats.
In the opening match of the invitational, Ramapo used the homecourt advantage to their benefit, making multiple runs through each set to defeat the Bulldogs (9-25, 8-25, 12-25). Brooklyn was led by
Sarina Rozek's two kills in the match.
Brooklyn wasn't able to get it going in the second match of the afternoon against Alfred State, falling in three sets (7-25, 18-25, 7-25). The Bulldogs showed some life in the second set, jumping out to a 4-0 lead. However, ASC clawed their way back with stretches of runs that boosted them to the 25-18 victory. Senior middle blocker
Francesca LoCascio finished the match with a team-high five kills and two blocks.
Brooklyn will be back on the court on Monday at the US Merchant Marine Academy. Opening serve is scheduled for 7:00 pm.
