New York, NY---Leading by a point heading into halftime, the Brooklyn College men's basketball team was outscored 41-27 in the second half dropping their sixth game in a row at CCNY in CUNYAC play this evening.  BC moves to 3-11 with the loss and 1-4 in CUNYAC.  CCNY improved to 6-6 overall and 4-2 in CUNYAC with the win.  Brooklyn returns home on Wednesday to host York in a conference doubleheader.  Tip-off is set for 7:15 pm following the women's game against the Cardinals.

With Bulldogs leading 35-34 at the half, CCNY would open the second period with a 14-2 run to take their first double-digit lead of the game with 15:20 left in the contest.  Brooklyn scored on the ensuing possession to cut the Beaver lead to nine on junior guard Steve Jean-Baptiste's lay-in at the 15:02 mark, but CCNY responded a little less than a minute later to maintain a double-digit lead for the rest of the contest.  The Beavers led by as many as 19 points in the second half.

BC controlled the majority of the first half, keeping a slim lead through most of the opening period.  Junior guard Maynard Grant IV scored ten of his team-high 18 points in the first half.  A Michael Tesoriero lay-in gave Brooklyn a 4-0 lead to start the game following Grant's made lay-up for the game's opening bucket.  CCNY got right back into the game right away, knocking down a three following Tesoriero's basket.

Two three point makes by senior guard Chris McIllhatton gave Brooklyn a 12-7 advantage with 13:40 left in the first half.  CCNY buried a three and converted on a free-throw for the final four points of the first half.

CCNY shot 52.9% to the Bulldogs's 34.6% during their second half run.  The Beavers also out-rebounded Brooklyn 13-7 on the offensive glass for the game.
