Randall's Island, NY---In close a match throughout, the Brooklyn College men's soccer team was eliminated from the CUNYAC Championships this afternoon, falling to John Jay College in the semifinals, 2-1. Brooklyn had a few opportunities late in the second period but weren't able to capitalize. The Bulldogs end the season with a 9-8-2 overall record, a two-win improvement from last season. BC entered the playoffs as the No. 3 seed, finishing CUNYAC regular season play with a 6-2 mark. No. 2 John Jay will take on No. 1 Lehman College at the College of Staten Island next Saturday for the conference title.

-John Jay would keep the lead until BC freshman midfielder,
Azizjon Ziyaev, scored his 17th goal of the season in the 65th minute for the equalizer on a long assist from junior midfielder
Ahmad Aly.
-John Jay would go ahead for good in the 78th minute on an own goal.
-The Bloodhounds outshot the Bulldogs 19-16 for the match, but BC finished with a 10-8 edge in the second period.
-BC sophomore keeper, Utku Tanritanir, had a solid afternoon in goal, making some key saves late in the first period. He finished with 11 saves for the match while facing all 19 John Jay shots.
