Brooklyn, NY----The Brooklyn College men's soccer team scored three goals in the first half and matched that in the second half in a 6-0 rout of Medgar Evers College in CUNYAC play this afternoon at Aviator Sports Complex. It is the Bulldogs' second conference win in a row. BC improved to 4-6-2 overall and 3-2 in CUNYAC. MEC drops to 1-11 on the season. Brooklyn continues conference play on Saturday at home against Baruch College for Homecoming Week as the second part of a soccer doubleheader at BC Field.
Match Notes
-Senior midfielder
Jean-Luc Saint-Fleur scored the game winner in the 32nd minute of the match on an assist from sophomore forward
Kevin Pluviose. Saint-Fleur would finish with six points on the afternoon adding another goal in the 79th minute and a pair of assists to his evening.
-Freshman midfielder and last week's CUNYAC Player of the Week,
Azizjon Ziyaev, had another standout performance, finishing the match with a natural hat-trick including two goals in the first half.
-Junior midfielder
Ahmad Aly scored the match's final goal of the evening in the 89th minute on an assist from Saint-Fleur.
-Sophomore keeper,
Utku Tanritanir, recorded his first clean sheet of the season in a winning effort.
