Brooklyn, NY----The Brooklyn College men's soccer team scored three second half goals - one from
Ahmad Aly, followed by two from
Kevin Pluviose - and defeated Baruch, 3-0, for the Bulldogs third straight win. The Bulldogs improve to 5-6-2 (4-2 CUNYAC) with the win. Baruch drops to 6-5 with the loss. Brooklyn has a week to prepare for another important CUNYAC match at home against Hunter next Saturday.
Match Notes
-Junior midfielder
Ahmad Aly scored and got the Bulldogs on the board after a scoreless first half. It was his fourth score on the year and the second consecutive game in which he found the net.
-Sophomore forward
Kevin Pluviose scored consecutive goals late in the second half to give BC complete control and seal the victory. For Pluviose, these were his first two goals on the season.
-Sophomore keeper,
Utku Tanritanir, notched his second consecutive shutout.
-Brooklyn tied Baruch in 2016, and defeated them in 2015. Baruch last defeated Brooklyn in the 2014 CUNYAC Championship Game.
-The win moves Brooklyn into a third place tie in the CUNY Athletic Conference points standings with Staten Island and Baruch (12 points).
