Women's Volleyball Closes Season in ECAC First Round at Brandeis, 3-0

Box Score Waltham, MA---Arguably the best women's volleyball season in Brooklyn College history has come to end this evening as the Bulldogs fell to host, Brandeis University, 3-0 (7, 16, 13) in the First Round of the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Championships.  Brooklyn ends the 2017 season with a 17-14 overall record.  Brandeis will advance to the semifinal round the winner of Bethany and McDaniel.

Match Notes

-The host school made a statement in the first set by jumping out to a 14-3 lead and never looking back.
-Trailing 10-3 in the second set, the Bulldogs would show some resilience by cutting the lead to 10-8 with a five-point rally, which included a pair of Sarina Rozek kills.  However, the judges would build their lead back up with two to three point clusters that kept them from any further BC threat.
-BC jumped out to an early 5-4 lead before Brandeis would go on a six-point tear that would give the home team the lead for good.  The judges secured the lead with another six-point rally halfway through the set.
