New York, NY---The Brooklyn College men's basketball team dropped its conference opener at Hunter College tonight, 74-64, falling to 0-6 to start the season. Hunter moves to 2-4 with the CUNYAC win. Brooklyn will return home Tuesday to host Stevens Tech in the second part of a non-conference doubleheader following the women's game. Tip-off is slated for 7:15 pm at the West Quad Center.
How It Happened
-With the game tied 42-42 with 14:25 remaining in regulation, Hunter would go on a 14-2 run over the next eight minutes of play. Brooklyn responded with a 10-0 run of its own to cut the Hawk lead to two with 2:42 left in the game. Following three straight Hunter points, Brooklyn cut the lead to two again with 1:12 left in the game following a Ben Batash three-point make, but Hunter finished its strong evening at the charity stripe to close out the contest.
-Brooklyn scored on their first two offensive possessions of the contest to take an early 4-0 lead in the game's opening minutes. BC head into halftime with a two-point advantage over the home team.
