Daytona, FL---The Brooklyn College men's basketball team was unable to overcome a 45-22 halftime deficit, eventually falling, 81-65, to Ithaca College its first game of the Land of Magic Classic in Daytona Beach. BC drops to 0-9 with loss while Ithaca improved to 7-1. The Bulldogs will look for their first win of the season tomorrow, 12/29, against Colby-Sawyer College, in their second and final game of the classic.
How It Happened
-After a made three knocked down by BC sophomore wing, Henry O'Reilly, to pull the Bulldogs within nine points, 29-20, with 5:05 remaining in the first half, the Bombers responded with a 16-0 run to take their largest lead of the game (25) with 1:02 left in the opening period.
-Brooklyn cut the Ithaca lead to as few as 14 points, 54-40, with 13:42 remaining in regulation following a made jumper shot by senior guard,
Niv Konfino.
-The teams were tied, 9-9, with 15:11 remaining in the first half.
