Bulldogs Fall in Conference Play at Lehman

Bronx, NY---In the game through the first half, the Brooklyn College men's basketball team was outscored by 17 points in the second half at Lehman College in CUNYAC action this evening, eventually falling, 85-62.  BC drops to 0-8 overall and 0-2 in the conference with the loss.  Lehman moves to 5-2 and 3-0 with the home win.  The Bulldogs will have close to three weeks off before taking on Ithaca College in the their first game at the Land of Magic Tournament in Daytona, FL on December 28th.  

How It Happened 

-With the Bulldogs trailing by eight, 58-50, following a Maynard Grant IV three-point play with 12:28 remaining in regulation, Lehman would respond with a 14-0 run giving them a 22-point lead with 7:13 remaining.  
-Brooklyn opened the game with back-to-back three-point makes buried by senior guard, Niv Konfino, and sophomore guard, Michael Tesoriero, giving the Bulldogs a 6-0 lead.  LC came back and led by as many as 10 points with 12:53 left in the first half.  Brooklyn countered and cut the Lightning lead to one with 6:05 left in the opening half, thanks in-part to back-to-back three-point makes by junior forward Daniel Shulman.  Brooklyn came within one four minutes later but Lehman closed out the half with a 6-1 run.  
-Lehman's Mylo Mitchell and Andrew Utate combined for 46 of the Lighting's 85 points.  

Box Score Breakdown

-Lehman shot 12-26 from beyond the arc to Brooklyn's 6-17.  
-The Lightning shot 13-15 from the charity stripe to the Bulldogs' 7-12.
-Brooklyn out-rebounded the Lightning on the offensive glass 15-6.

Leading the Bulldogs 

-Senior guard Niv Konfino scored a team-high 19 points and grabbed six rebounds in all forty minutes of action.  
-Freshman forward Alpha Bah scored a BC career-high 10 points off of the bench and grabbed a team-high seven rebounds.  

Leading the Lightning

-Mylo Mitchell scored a game-high 25 points while shooting 5-8 from beyond the arc.  
-Andrew Utate added 21 points on 9-16 from the floor.
