Farmingdale, NY---The Brooklyn College women's basketball team shot an efficient 46.4% from beyond the arc to go on to defeat Farmingdale State, 79-66, in the Bulldogs' regular season finale. Brooklyn closes out the regular season with a 20-5 record. Farmingdale moves to 13-11 with the loss. The regular season CUNYAC champs and No. 1 seed in the conference championships will have a bye until the semifinal round hosted by CCNY at 6:00 pm. BC's opponent will be decided after this weekend's first round and quarterfinal games.

Taylor Gallagher's game-high 23 points, the Bulldogs lit it up from three-point range connecting on 13 of 28 attempts. Gallagher shot 5-8 from beyond the arc for the game.
Getting the starting nod this evening, sophomore wing,
Alexandra Moogan was relentless on the boards, grabbing a career-high 17 rebounds. Brooklyn finished with a 42-36 edge over the Rams on the glass.
The Bulldogs jumped all over the Rams from the opening tip, grabbing a 23-9 after the first period following 15-0 run to start the game. Despite the Rams doubling their scoring in the second period, BC head into halftime with a 49-27 advantage.
Brooklyn took their largest lead of the game of 23 with 8:37 remaining in the third period. Farmingdale would put a dent in the BC lead, cutting the advantage to 14 points with 2:25 remaining in the third period. After exchanging three-point makes, the Bulldogs head into the final period with a 16 point lead.
Farmingdale didn't go down lightly, cutting Brooklyn's lead down to 12 points in the first 25 seconds of the fourth period. However, the Bulldogs responded with a 10-3 run that put them back up by 20 points with a tick over six minutes left in the game. The Bulldogs held on to a double-digit lead for the remainder of the contest.
Senior guard Twanda Holder added 13 points for the Bulldogs. Junior guard and CUNYAC All-Star,
Karen Mak finished with 12 points, five assists, and two steals in the win.
Farmingdale was led by Kaelyn Ward's 21 points.
