Brooklyn, NY---After a strong showing to start CUNYAC play on Monday with shutout wins against Medgar Evers and CSI, the Brooklyn College men's volleyball team recorded their third straight shutout, 3-0 (25-16, 25-12, 25-12) this evening in non-conference action against Yeshiva University at home. Brooklyn improves to 8-5 with the victory. Yeshiva drops to 0-4. The Bulldogs sweep the home-and-home season series with the Maccabees, having defeated them on their home court a week ago, 3-0. The Bulldogs will have a week to prep for New Jersey City University on March 2 at NJCU.
Using a balanced attack and plenty of depth, the Bulldogs were able to wear the Maccabees down halfway through every set. Sophomore outside hitters

Seva Tsyupa led the Bulldogs with seven kills a piece on the night. Junior outside hitter
Rudy Zhao recorded six kills and finished with a match-high ten points.
Tied 8-8 through the first sixteen points of the opening set, Zhao would put away kill and Yeshiva had an attacking error that began BC's opportunity to pull away. Already leading 18-14, tacked on five unanswered sparked by a Titus kill to take a 23-14 lead late in the first set. Zhao would end the set with a kill assisted by junior setter
Eddie Peng who finished with a match-high 17 helpers on the evening.
Brooklyn established complete control to start the second set, jumping out to 12-5 lead. The Macs responded with a couple of broken runs to cut the BC lead to 15-11. However, the Bulldogs answered with a 7-0 run starting with a kill batted down by freshman middle hitter
Ahmed Moawad. Junior defensive specialist Kevin Batista then served up an ace before five straight YU attack errors. After retaining the serve on a Moaz Ali Choadhary kill, a Yeshiva attack error ended the second set.
The Bulldogs jumped out to a 7-1 to start the third set and never looked back. Freshman middle hitter
Shemar Brown ended the match with a kill set by Peng.
BC finished with a team hitting percentage of .356 to the Macs' -.094 for the match. The Bulldogs finished with six blocks on the evening.
