Brooklyn, NY---A preview for their conference meeting on March 28, the Brooklyn College men's volleyball shut out Lehman College, 3-0 (18, 22, 13), in a non-conference match this evening. Brooklyn improves to 10-6 with the victory. The Lightning dropped to 7-9 with the loss. Brooklyn returns to conference play on Saturday for a CUNYAC tri-match at John Jay where they will take on No. 11 Hunter at 10 am and the host at 2 pm. BC will be home again on March 14th in non-conference play against Bard. It will be a Whiteout Night in which the first 150 fans will receive a FREE Brooklyn College Athletics t-shirt.

After taking control of the match by taking the first game while never trailing in the opening set, the Lightning made a strong push in the second to tie the match. With the Bulldogs leading 23-18 down the stretch of the second set, Lehman responded with four straight to trail by only one. However, a quick attack and kill by junior setter
Eddie Peng gave the serve back to BC. It would be Pjatak who served up the game-winning ace that gave Brooklyn the opportunity to sweep the match. Prior to Peng and Pjatak's late heroics, junior outside hitter
Rudy Zhao and Moawad put away two kills each during a 5-0 Brooklyn run that gave the Bulldogs the 23-18 advantage.
The captain Zhao played inspired volleyball all evening long finishing with 11 kills while hitting .333, two block assists, and a service ace.
Brooklyn never trailed in the final set, jumping out to a 13-5 lead to open the game. Junior middle hitter Moaz Ali Choudhary ended the match with a kill set up by sophomore setter Sayuj Zachariah.
Moawad also finished with 11 kills on the evening to go along with his eight block assists. Peng with finished with 19 assists for the match.
