New York, NY--The Brooklyn College men's volleyball team fell in a non-conference match against fellow CUNYAC member John Jay, 3-1 (25-19, 25-23, 23-25, 22-25) this evening. Brooklyn moves to 12-10 with their third loss in a row. John Jay improved to 12-15 with the victory. The Bulldogs were victorious, 3-0, in the teams' conference meeting back on March 11. The Bulldogs close out the regular season on Saturday in a tri-match at Staten Island where they will take on the host and Wilkes University. #4 Brooklyn and #5 John Jay will meet again on Tuesday in the CUNYAC Championships quarterfinal at the West Quad Center at 6:00 pm.
Senior outside hitter
Rudy Zhao led the Bulldogs with 16 kills on the evening on 42 attacks. Freshman middle hitter
Ahmed Moawad also reached double-figures in kills with 12 on 18 attacks for a .611 hitting percentage.
With every set played closely to the final point, the Bulldogs showed flashes of how they shutout the Bloodhounds a month ago in the second set. Keeping a slim lead through the majority of the set, the set would be tied 23-23. Brooklyn would even the match at one set a piece with two straight points including the game-winning kill put away by Zhao.
The home team never trailed in the final two sets despite each game coming down to the wire.

Kyle Lu led BC defensively with 13 digs for the match. John Jay's Juan Dejesus led all hitters with 17 kills.
