Softball Drops Two on the Road at Delaware Valley

Doylestown, PA---The Brooklyn College softball team dropped both games of non-conference doubleheader at Delaware Valley University this afternoon.  BC fell to the Rams, 17-1 (5 Innings), in both games of the double bill.  Brooklyn drops to 2-12 overall with the losses.  The Rams improved to 5-7 with the home wins.  Brooklyn returns home on Tuesday to host Cairn University for a non-conference doubleheader.  First pitch is scheduled for 5:00 pm.  

In Game 1, the Rams scored 11 runs in the bottom of the fourth inning for the final score, 17-1.  Delaware Valley strating pitcher Morgan Brown picked up her first win of the season pitching all five innings allowing BC's lone run and striking out five.  

Trailing 6-0 heading into the top of the third inning, freshman center fielder Leslie Lima reached base first for the Bulldogs with a single.  She would steal second and advance to third on an error.  Sophomore catcher Shakira Feliciano drove Lima in with an RBI single.  

Lima finished the first game going 2-3.  Feliciano's RBI single in the third was the Bulldogs' other hit in the the game.  

In Game 2, the Rams responded with 17 unanswered runs after the Bulldogs took a 1-0 lead in the top of the first.  Lima led-off the game with a single and stole second.  She would advance to third on a ground-out.  Feliciano would once again drive her home with an RBI ground-out with only one out.  

Brooklyn wouldn't manage a hit for the rest of the game as Del Valley starter, Jamie Stefani, improved to 3-6 on the season, pitching all five innings, striking out 12 Bulldog batters.
