Irving, TX---The Brooklyn College women's volleyball team's five-game win-streak to start the 2017 season was snapped today at the University of Dallas Invitational. In the first match of the day, the Bulldogs dropped their first of the season to LeTourneau University, 3-0. Later on in the evening, the Bulldogs fell to the host, 3-0.
The Bulldogs will look to bounce back tomorrow against Endicott College in their final match of the trip. Follow live stats of tomorrow's match

LeTourneau Match Notes
-After falling to the Yellow Jackets 25-11, Brooklyn would take LeTourneau down to the wire but eventually outlasted in the second set, 27-25.
-BC held a 21-19 lead in the second, but the Yellow Jackets clawed their back to tie the match after a service ace. With the game tied 25-25, LeTourneau closed it out with two straight kills.
-In the third game, BC established an early 6-3 lead. They would keep a slim lead almost halfway through the game. The Yellow Jackets were able to string together two to three point rallies that steadily pushed them to victory.
-Brooklyn was led by junior outside hitter
Michaela Appel's 11 kills while hitting .243.
-Both BC setters freshmen
Kate Meltsin and
Claudia Moi finished with 10 assists a piece.
University of Dallas Match Notes
-The host jumped on BC in the first game, taking a 25-7 advantage.
-Trailing 15-8 in the second game, the Bulldogs showed some resilience by pulling within three points with help of a four-point run. UD pulled away late in the game, thanks in part to a 6-0 run.
-Dallas closed out the match with a 25-12 victory in the final game.
-Brooklyn was led by senior outside hitter
Sarina Rozek's four kills.
