Brooklyn, NY---The Brooklyn College women's soccer team fought hard all evening, but Rutgers-Newark out-gunned the Bulldogs, 9-1, in non-conference play at Brooklyn College Field. BC drops to 3-6 in defeat while the Scarlet Raiders improved to 7-3 with the victory. Brooklyn will have a week's rest before hosting Purchase College next Monday.
"The ladies did whatever we asked them to this evening and they never gave up," BC Head Coach,
Patrick Horne, would comment following the match.
Match Notes
-Rutgers-Newark scored the game-winner in the second minute, jumping out to 4-0 lead in the opening ten minutes of action.
-The Scarlet Raiders would head into halftime with an 8-0 cushion.
-Brooklyn would get on the board in the 58th minute of play on an unassisted goal cranked from the top of the box by junior midfielder
Keri Kenna for her team-leading eighth net of the season.
-Rutgers-Newark's Juliana Ceballos finished with a hat-trick on the evening.
