Brooklyn, NY---With four players reaching double-figures in scoring for the game, the Brooklyn College women's basketball team extended its win-streak to seven with a 78-59 conference victory over Baruch this afternoon at the West Quad Center. BC's overall record is now 14-2 and 6-1 in CUNYAC. Baruch drops to 3-9 and 3-4 in conference play. Next up: The Bulldogs travel to the College of Staten Island on Wednesday for a huge conference match-up. Tip-off is slated for 5:30 pm.
How It Happened
-After Baruch took a 3-0 lead with a three-point make in the first minute of play, the Bulldogs responded with a 9-0 lead capped by a three-point make drained by junior wing,
Alexandra Moogan with 7:54 left in the opening quarter. Brooklyn would keep the lead the rest of the way.
-The Bulldogs extended their lead to 19 points in the first 2:30 of the second quarter scoring ten unanswered points. Senior guard,
Karen Mak, gave Brooklyn a 45-30 halftime lead on a three-point make.
-Brooklyn led by as many as 23 points in the third quarter following a made jumper shot by freshman guard, Taylor George.
-The Bulldogs continued to pull away, starting the fourth quarter with a 6-0 run for their largest lead of the game (25).
