Purchase, NY---Led junior outside hitter Vaughn Titus' 14 kills, the Brooklyn College men's volleyball team start the season 1-0 with a non-conference win at Purchase College this evening, 3-0 (25-12, 25-19, 25-12). Purchase drops to 0-1 to start the season. The Bulldogs will be back on the road on Thursday, 1/25, to take on St. Joseph's College Long Island at 7:00 pm.
By the Set
-After losing the first point of the match, the Bulldogs rallied for six straight to lead the rest of the opening set.
-With a slim 8-7 advantage early in the set set, the Bulldogs would go on a 4-0 run including a pair of Titus kills to start to pull away from the Panthers. Titus closed out the second set with back-to-back kills.
-Brooklyn cruised in the third set, jumping out to a 7-1 lead to start. Towards the middle of the set, BC rallied for four more straight points to take a commanding 18-6 lead.

-Along with his match-high 14 kills, Titus served up 2 aces, and finished second on the team in digs with 8.
-Sophomore outside hitter Ahmed Moawad added 6 kills.
-Sophomore setter Michael Valentin set for 28 assists.
-Sophomore defensive specialist Snigdho Hassan led the team with 12 digs.
