Brooklyn, NY---The Brooklyn College men's soccer team pulled out a 3-1 win over CCNY this afternoon to improve to 3-3 in conference play. Brooklyn moves to 3-12 overall with the victory while CCNY dropped to 18-1 overall and 1-3 in CUNYAC. The Bulldogs continue conference play on the road on Saturday, October 13th, at John Jay College. Kickoff is set for 12:30 pm on Randall's Island Field #70.
Brooklyn junior midfielder,
Stewart Bailon, score two of the Bulldogs' goals for the match. He would put BC on the board first in the 19' with a shot just right of the goal inside the box on a through feed from junior back,
Bokkar Ka.
CCNY responded with the equalizer in the 25' on a through to the top of the box for a straight away shot and score.
With only five seconds left in the first half, Ka would get fouled inside the box for a penalty kick opportunity, which he converted for the game-winner.
The Brooklyn defense and sophomore goalie,
Balint Barabas, did a solid job of deterring any Beaver comeback in the second half. Barabas finished with six saves for the match while facing 13 shots.
Balion scored BC's insurance goal in the 80' of the match on a breakaway shot from the left wing assisted by sophomore forward,
Carlos Calzadilla.
