Randall's Island, NY---After 110 minutes of scoreless soccer, the Brooklyn College men's soccer team picked up its first draw of the season on the road against CUNYAC foe, John Jay College. Brooklyn moves to 3-12-1 overall with the tie and 3-3-1 in CUNYAC. John Jay is now 4-7-1 overall and 3-2-1 in the conference. The match has playoff implications for a possible home match in the quarterfinals of the upcoming CUNYAC Championships. Brooklyn completes its non-conference schedule at home against the College of New Jesrey at home on Monday, October 15, at 4:00 pm.
Despite being the busier team offensively, John Jay wasn't able to put one of its 26 shots in the net. Brooklyn sophomore goalie,
Balint Barabas had a lot to do with that, finishing with 14 saves for the match.
Brooklyn had its most opportunities in the second have, taking six of its nine shots for the match. Junior midfielder,
Stewart Bailon's shot just before the end of regulation that was saved in the 88' of play.
The Bulldogs held off a late John Jay push in the final twenty minutes where the Bloodhounds out-shot BC 6-1.
