New York, NY---In its second-to-last game of the regular season, the Brooklyn College women's basketball team rolled to an 84-19 win at John Jay in CUNYAC play this afternoon. The Bulldogs have won 14 of their last 15 contests. BC improves to 21-3 and 13-2 in CUNYAC. John Jay falls to 1-23 and 1-14 with the loss. The Bulldogs close out the regular season in conference play at York College. Tip-off is set for 6:30 pm in Jamaica, NY.
How It Happened
-Junior wing,
Alexandra Moogan, knocked down three three-point field goals to open the game for BC, giving the visitor a 9-2 lead with 8:17 left in the first quarter. Brooklyn extended its lead to 29-4 to end the opening quarter.
-The Bulldogs allowed just one Bloodhound field goal in the second quarter to take a 44-6 halftime lead.
-There was no let-up for the Bulldogs in the second half as they cruised through the final twenty minutes of the contest.
-Five Bulldogs reached double-figures in scoring including four BC starters.
