Bronxville, NY---Snapping a two game skid, the Brooklyn College men's volleyball team cruised to a 3-0 (25-9, 25-9, 25-18) in non-conference play at Sarah Lawrence College this afternoon. Brooklyn improves to 4-7 overall with the win while the Gryphons drop to 0-8. The Bulldogs will host Yeshiva University in its Home Opener on Tuesday, February 27. Opening serve is set for 8:00 pm.
By the Set
-After the home team scored a kill for the first point of the match, the Bulldogs responded with a seven point rally capped by a kill put away by sophomore middle hitter, Ahmed Moawad. Already leading 17-8, BC outscored the Gryphons 8-1 to close out the first set.
-Similar to the first set, the Bulldogs dominated from the first serve in the second set. BC used a seven point rally to take a commanding 14-3 lead. Sophomore middle blocker, Gabriel Pjatak, ended the second set with a service ace.
-Brooklyn jumped out to a 6-0 lead to start the third set. SLC pulled within a point, 7-6, before the Bulldogs rallied for seven straight scores. With BC leading 21-11, the home team made one last push to cut the BC to lead to 24-18 before a service error to end the match.

-Moawad, Pjatak, and junior outside hitter, Vaughn Titus finished with six kills a piece.
-Senior middle hitter,
Ian Miranda, and sophomore setter, Michael Valentin, served for three aces a piece. Valentin also finished with 11 assists for the match.
-Sophomore defensive specialist, Snigdho Hasan, finished with five digs.
