Thousand Oaks, CA---The Brooklyn men's volleyball fell in both of their final matches at the Cal Lutheran Invitational today. In its first match, BC dropped a 3-0 (18-25, 15-25, 17-25) decision to host, Cal Lutheran. The Bulldogs dropped their next match to North Central College (Ill), 3-0 (15-25, 12-25, 18-25). BC falls to 1-5 with the two losses. Brooklyn will have a week to prep for a trip to Yeshiva University on February 11. Opening serve is set for 1:00 pm.
Cal Lutheran Match Notes
By the Set
-Up a point early in the opening set, the home team rallied for three straight points to take a 9-5 lead and maintain it through the set.
-The Bulldogs would hang in with the Kingsmen early in the second, but with the match tied 4-4, Cal Lutheran rallied for four straight for the 8-4 advantage and then for six straight to take a commanding 17-9 lead down the stretch of the set.
-Brooklyn rallied late with a three-point run, but the damage had already been early in the third set, beginning Cal Lutheran jumping out to a 4-1 lead.

-Sophomore middle hitter Ahmed Moawad paced BC with eight kills and a pair of blocks.
-Junior setter Sayuj Zachariah finished with ten assists.
Leading the Kingsmen
-Brendan Ward finished with a match-high nine kills.
North Central Match Notes
By the Set
-After the Bulldogs opened the match with back-to-back kills, the Cardinals responded with a 5-0 run to lead the rest of the way.
-Brooklyn took early leads in the second set before North Central's three-point rally that gave them a 12-9 advantage and the lead for good heading into the third.
-BC once again jumped out to an early 2-0 lead before the Cardinals rallied for five straight for an 11-5 advantage. The Cardinals closed out the match with three straight scores.

-Junior outside hitter Vaughn Titus put away a team-high seven kills.
-Sophomore libero, Snigdho Hasan, finished with a match-high eight digs.
