Bulldogs' Tough Shooting Night Leads to Conference Loss at Baruch

New York, NY----A struggle offensively, led to a 74-50 loss at Baruch College for the Brooklyn men's basketball this evening.  Brooklyn moves to 6-16 and 6-7 in-conference while Baruch improved to 12-10 and 9-4.  The Bulldogs will host College of Staten Island on Thursday, 2/8, for their final regular season home game on Senior Night.  Tip-off follows the end of the women's game at 7:15 pm.  

How It Happened

-The home team jumped out to a 28-0 lead to start the game and never looked back with Brooklyn scoring their first bucket of the game at the 10:11 mark in the first half.  
-Trailing by 31 points at halftime, the Bulldogs cut the Baruch lead to as few as 21 points late in the second half.  
-Baruch led by as many as 33 points early in the second half.  

Box Score Breakdown

-Brooklyn shot 17-54 from the field for the game to Baruch's 27-55. 
-Baruch shot 10-13 from the free throw line to Brooklyn's 7-13. 

Leading the Bulldogs

-Senior guard, Maynard Grant IV, scored a team-high 11 points. He also grabbed six rebounds for the night. 
-Sophomore wing, Henry O'Reilly, chipped in nine points off of the bench on 3-5 from beyond the arc.  

Lead the Bearcats

-William Sixsmith and Chimaechi Ekekeugbor scored 14 points each. 
-Andre Harris added 10 points.
