Brooklyn, NY----For the first time in program history, the Brooklyn College men's volleyball team defeated New Jersey City University, 3-0 (25-23, 25-16, 26-24). BC improves to 6-7 with the win while the Gothic Knights move to 5-7. The Bulldogs will look for its third straight win since opening at home on Tuesday, March 6th, against York College at 7:00 pm.
By the Set
-Trailing NJCU 14-9, the Bulldogs would rally for five straight scores to tie the set, 14-14. BC would go on another 5-0 spurt that gave them a 19-15 advantage and enough room to close out the set.
-Brooklyn opened the second set with a three-score rally beginning with a kill put away by sophomore middle hitter Gabriel Pjatak. Already leading 7-4, the Bulldogs went on a 5-0 run to take a commanding 12-4 lead, forcing a NJCU timeout. BC won the set with three straight scores capped by a service ace hit by junior outside hitter, Vaughn Titus.
-The teams saved the best for last, exchanging rallies and leads until the end of the match. With Brooklyn leading 23-20, the Gothic Knights rallied for three straight scores to tie the set down the stretch. After exchanging points, the Bulldogs ended the match with two straight scores including Titus' match-ending service ace.

-Sophomore middle hitter Ahmed Moawad put away a match-high nine kills. Ttius added eight kills to go along with three service aces.
-Senior middle hitter
Moaz Ali Choudhary had a match-high four blocks.
-Junior setter Sayuj Zachariah helped with 17 assists.
-Sophomore libero, Snigdho Hasan, finished with eight digs.

-Julian Moreira finished with nine kills. Alexander Umanzor added seven kills.
