Brooklyn, NY---The Brooklyn College Men's Volleyball won their fourth straight match and first in conference play this evening, defeating York, 3-1 (25-10, 18-25, 25-11, 25-19) at the West Quad Center. Brooklyn improves to 7-7 and 1-2 in CUNYAC with the victory while York drops to 2-11 and 0-3 in conference play. The Bulldogs continue conference play at College of Staten Island on Sunday, 3/11, as they take on the host, CSI, and Medgar Evers in their second CUNYAC tri-match of the season.
By the Set
-The Bulldogs came out on fire in the opening set, jumping out to a 5-0 lead to start the match. York weathered the early home team storm to pull within a point, 5-4, but the Bulldogs responded with an eight point rally, extending their lead to 13-4. BC closed out the set on a kill put away by sophomore outside hitter Gabriel Pjatak and then a set ending service ace hit by senior middle hitter
Ian Miranda.
-York evened the match by jumping out to a 6-1 lead to start the second set. Brooklyn would play catch-up the remainder of the set. The Cardinals put the set out of reach with a four-score rally to take a 23-17 lead down the stretch.
-BC bounced back in the third set, again taking a 5-0 advantage to start. The Cardinals never had an answer as the Bulldogs began their ascent to victory with a six-point rally to take a commanding 13-3 lead halfway through the third set.
-Leading 23-19 in the fourth and final set of the match, the Bulldogs locked up the victory with three straight scores beginning with kills put away by Pjatak and senior middle hitter
Moaz Ali Choudhary. Choudhary would then pick up the match-winning block.

-Junior outside hitter, Vaughn Titus, put away a match-high 10 kills. He also finished with a match-high five service aces.
-Choudhary finished with a match-high five blocks.
-Sophomore setter Michael Valentin led Brooklyn with 16 assists.
-Sophomore defensive specialist, Snigdho Hasan, had a match-high eight digs.

-Adil Manji finished with a match-high 17 assists.
