Men's Soccer Home Opener Spoiled by Ramapo

Brooklyn, NY---The Brooklyn College men's soccer team dropped its Home Opener this afternoon, falling to Ramapo College, 6-0, at Brooklyn College Field.  BC drops to 0-6 to start the season while Ramapo improved to 5-0 with the non-conference victory.  The Bulldogs remain on their home pitch on Saturday, September 15, to host Penn State Harrisburg at noon.  

The visitor came out firing from the opening kick scoring the game-winner in the 8th minute of the match.  Ramapo added five more goals in the first half for the final score of the match.  

Ramapo out-shot the Bulldogs 23-6 for the match including 16-2 in the first half.  

BC sophomore midfielder, Brian Navarrete, led Brooklyn offensively with two shots including a shot-on-goal. 

The Roadrunners' Joseph Fala finished with a hat trick on the afternoon.  

Short-handed in goal this afternoon, the Bulldogs called on sophomore defender Randy Urgiles who finished with nine saves playing all ninety minutes of the match.
