Brooklyn, NY---Despite scoring the first goal of the match, the Brooklyn College men's soccer team wasn't able to hold on, falling to Penn State Harrisburg, 3-1, this afternoon at home. BC drops to 0-7 on the season while PSH improved to 7-0 with the non-conference win. The Bulldogs open CUNYAC play on Wednesday, September 19, against York College at Aviator Field. Kickoff is set for 7:30 pm.
Scoring the Bulldogs' first goal of the season today, junior forward,
Issa Ouedraogo, found a lane to accept a through pass from senior back,
Kamil Kosmider, to give BC an early 1-0 lead in the third minute of play.
The Nittany Lions responded only a couple of minutes later on a header off of a perfect long in-bound pass to the box. PSH scored the go ahead goal in the 20th minute on some crafty two-man play in the box.
Leading 2-1 at the half, Penn State Harrisburg scored an insurance goal in the 65th minute on a pass from the left wing to center of the box.
The Nittany Lions out-shot the Bulldogs 17-7 for the match including 11-6 on shots-on-goal.
Joey Aman scored two of Penn State Harrisburg's three goals.
