Women's Soccer Drops Non-Conference Match at Rutgers-Newark

Newark, NJ---The Brooklyn College women's soccer team fell on the road this evening, 7-1, at Rutgers-Newark.  BC moves to 1-2 on the season while the Scarlet Raiders improved to 4-2-1 with the victory.  Brooklyn returns home on Wednesday, September 19, to host Wesley College at 6:00 pm.  

Rutgers-Newark scored the game-winner in the 14' and added two more goals to take a 3-0 halftime lead.  

With the home team leading 6-0, the Bulldogs would get on the board on a goal put into the back of the net by senior midfielder, Keri Kenna, in the 78'.  Freshman midfielder, Rachel Gomez, would find Kenna with a through ball for her third assist of the season.  Kenna scored her second goal of the season.  

Freshman goalie, Amanpreet Kaur, finished the evening with 15 saves while facing 42 shots in all ninety minutes of action.  

Rutgers-Newark's Maria Miranda scored a hat-trick in the win.
