Farmingdale, NY---The Brooklyn College women's tennis team dropped its first match of the season this afternoon, falling on the road to Farmingdale State, 7-2. BC moves to 2-1 with the non-conference loss while FSC improves to 4-1 with the victory. The Bulldogs open conference play on Friday, September 21, against CUNYAC preseason favorite, Baruch College, at 3:00 pm at home.
Named CUNYAC Player of the Week earlier today, sophomore, Rosa Aksonov, was part of both of BC's victories today. She and doubles partner,
Georgeen Belrose, won, 8-5, at the top flight. Aksanov would go on to win at the top flight in singles 6-1, 6-1 to remain undefeated (3-0) in both singles and doubles on the season.
