Brooklyn, NY---The Brooklyn College women's soccer team dropped its CUNYAC Opener this afternoon, falling to John Jay College, 8-1, at Brooklyn College Field. BC moves to 1-4 overall with the loss while John Jay improved to 4-3-1 and 1-1 in CUNYAC. The Bulldogs continue conference play against Medgar Evers on Wednesday, September 26. The match will be played at Kingsborough CC at 4:00 pm.
The Bloodhounds aggressive offensive attack led to two goals in the first five minutes of play. John Jay added three more goals by halftime to take a 5-0 lead.

Rita Henriquez on a corner kick for BC's lone goal of the match. Gomez now has five assists on the season. It was Henriquez's first goal as a Bulldog.
John Jay out-shot the Bulldogs 25-8 for the match including 15-6 on shots-on-goal.
John Jay's Katie Healy finished with a pair of goals and an assist in victory.
