Women's Soccer Rolls Past Medgar Evers, Vixama Nets a Hat Trick

Brooklyn, NY---The Brooklyn College women's soccer team cruised to an 8-0 win over Medgar Evers in conference action at Kingsborough CC this afternoon.  Brooklyn improves to 2-4 overall 1-1 in CUNYAC while MEC dropped to 0-5 overall and 0-3 the conference.  The Bulldogs resume conference play on Saturday, September 29, against CCNY on Randall's Island at 1:00 pm.  

Freshman forward, Deborah Vixama, scored her first of three goals on the day in the 8' on an assist from  sophomore midfielder, Noemi Vazquez.  Vazquez picked up her second assist of the afternoon on the Bulldogs' next goal in the 23' credited to junior forward, Narasha Lynch.  Senior midfielder Keri Kenna would find the net in the first half as well in the 36' before Vixama scored her second of the match, giving BC a 4-0 halftime lead.  

The Bulldogs didn't wait long to score in the second half as Lynch notched her second goal of the match in the 46'.  Vixama scored her third goal only a couple of minutes later and Kenna scored her second of the day on an assist from freshman midfielder, Rachel Gomez.  Gomez would score the Bulldogs' final goal of the match in the 73'.  

Brooklyn dominated from the opening kick, out-shooting the Cougars 36-2 for the match including 12-1 on shots-on-goal.  

BC freshman goalie, Amanpreet Kaur, picked up her second clean sheet of the season.
