Men's Soccer With Tough Outing at Montclair State

Montclair, NJ---In its second match of the season, the Brooklyn College men's soccer team found itself in a deep hole in the first half it wouldn't be able to climb out of at Montclair State University, eventually falling, 8-0, this afternoon on the road.  BC drops to 0-2 to start the young season while MSU improved to 2-0-1.  The Bulldogs continue their road swing at Farmingdale State on Wednesday, September 5th.  Kickoff is set for 4:00 pm.

"Overall, a tough day for the team," third-year Head Coach, Joseph Andre would comment after the loss.  "We played a very competitive team and the extreme heat didn't help the cause."

MSU scored the game-winner in the 13th minute of the match and added two more scores in the first twenty minutes of play.  The home team head into halftime with a commanding 6-0 advantage.

Brooklyn finished the match with four shots including one on goal hit by junior midfielder, Arturo Zaraza.

Playing in goal for the first time for the Bulldogs was sophomore transfer, Balint Barabas, who finished with 10 saves while facing 25 Red Hawk shots in all 90 minutes of action.
