New York, NY---In a tale of two halves, the Brooklyn College men's basketball team dropped a conference game at John Jay College, 70-52, this evening. Brooklyn moves to 9-7 overall and 4-3 in CUNYAC with the loss while the Bloodhounds improved to 9-7 and 4-4 with the victory. The Bulldogs continue conference play at home against Medgar Evers on Friday at 7:15 pm.
How It Happened
-The Bloodhounds jumped out to a 5-0 run to start the game. Brooklyn responded with a 7-0 run for its only lead of the contest at the 16:50 mark. However, the home team retaliated with a 9-0 run over the next four minutes of play extending its lead to as many as 22 points. Brooklyn trailed John Jay 43-23 at the half.
-Brooklyn cut the John Jay lead to as few as twelve points two minutes into the second half following a made three buried by freshman guard,
Ibrahim Music. However, John Jay kicked its lead back up to 22 points (55-33) with a 7-0 run ending at the 10:56 mark.
-Brooklyn did outscore the home team 29-27 in the second half, but the damage had been done.
-The Bulldogs shot 29.6% from the field including 19.6% from beyond the arc for the game while the Bloodhounds shot 43.6% from the field including 39.6% from three.

Jade Spencer, scored a team-high 15 points and grabbed 13 rebounds.
-Sophomore guard,
Nico Serrano, scored eight points off of the bench.

-Doug Levy scored a game-high 21 points and grabbed 15 rebounds. He also recorded five blocked shots.
-Eric Pujols scored 15 points off of the bench.
