Brooklyn Outlasts Medgar Evers, 3-1, in Conference Play

Brooklyn, NY---A tie match early in the second half, the Brooklyn College men's soccer team scored two unanswered goals to prevail over Medgar Evers College, 3-1, in conference play this afternoon at the Aviator Sports Complex.  BC improves to 3-11 overall and 3-3 in CUNYAC with the win while the Cougars drop to 1-11 overall and 0-5 in CUNYAC.  Brooklyn will look to keep its momentum going in  conference play as they host York College on Saturday, October 19, on BC Soccer Homecoming, in a soccer doubleheader with the women's team hosting CSI at 12pm followed by the men at 2:30 pm.  The first 250 fans will receive a FREE Brooklyn College Athletics t-shirt. 

Match Summary

-The Bulldogs got on the board first as freshman midfielder, Roko Radovani, scored the first goal of his BC career in 34' on an assist from sophomore midfielder, Brian Navarrete.  
-MEC answered the call with a free kick goal, tying the match, 1-1 in 50'.
-The tie wouldn't last long, as Navarrete scored the game winner in 53' on an assist from junior midfielder, Alex Sosa
-Sosa picked up his second and third points of the match by scoring an insurance goal for BC in 57' on an assist from sophomore midfielder, George Espinoza.  It was Sosa's team-high seventh goal of the season.  
-Brooklyn outshot MEC 17-7 for the match including 11-1 with shots on-frame.
