WEST QUAD CENTER Brooklyn, NY----Advancing to their fourth straight CUNYAC semifinal, the Brooklyn College women's volleyball team cruised to a 3-0 sweep (25-9, 25-6, 25-12) of Lehman College in the quarterfinals of the conference tournament. Entering the CUNYAC Championships as the No. 3 seed, Brooklyn improves to 15-3 with the victory while the Lightning closes out their season at 4-25. The Bulldogs will now take on No. 2 seed, Baruch College, in one of two semifinal matches at Hunter College this Friday, November 8, at 5:30 pm. Stay tuned for more details on Friday's matches!
Match Summary
-Brooklyn dominated the match from the opening serve, jumping out to an 11-3 lead to start the match.
-Already leading 12-5 in the second game, went on an 11-0 run for a commanding 23-5 advantage.
-Lehman made it interesting to start the third game by jumping out to a 3-1 lead, but with the score tied, 5-5, the Bulldogs made their move with seven unanswered scores including three straight aces served up by freshman opposite,
Ashley Fung.
-BC finished with 18 aces on the night to Lehman's three.
Leading the Bulldogs
-Fung finished with a match-high 10 kills and career-high 11 service aces. Freshman outside hitter,
Madison Cronk, added six kills on 10 attacks.
-Sophomore setter,
Ezri Shor, had a match-high 16 assists.
-Sophomore middle,
Megan Ortiz-Mengedoht, had the match's only two blocks.

-Francheska Acevedo put away a team-high three kills.
-Yari Peguero came up with a match-high 14 digs.
