Brooklyn, NY---Paced by a game-high 18 points scored by junior guard,
Anthony McClean, the Brooklyn College men's basketball team earned their first win of the season defeating York College, 77-66, tonight in both school's conference opener. Brooklyn Moves to 1-4 with the win while York drops to 2-4. The Bulldogs will look to keep their momentum going at home this Thursday as they host Stevens Tech at 7pm.
Game Summary
-A back-and-forth battle for the majority of the first half, the Bulldogs went on a 6-0 run capped by a made three buried by senior guard,
Michael Tesoriero, to give BC a 23-21 with 7:49 before halftime. The Bulldogs would head into the break with a 36-29 advantage.
-York battled back in the early stages of the second half, tying the contest, 36-36, thanks to 7-0 run in the first 2:10. Brooklyn responded with a 10-0 run for their first double-digit lead of the night with 16:04 left in regulation.
-The Bulldogs would go on to lead by as many as 17 points in the second half.
-BC's volume shooting from beyond the arc tonight paid off, going 12-40 from 'downtown' to York's 5-14.
-The Bulldogs also gave themselves a good number more of opportunities than the Cardinals by out-rebounding them, 22-11, making up for 21 second-chance points.
-BC was also solid from the charity stripe, shooting 15-18 while York shot 17-26.

-McClean shot 4-9 from beyond the arc while also grabbing four rebounds in 29 minutes of action.
-Junior guard,
Noah Shy, and senior guard,
Michael Tesoriero, added 13 points each. Tesoriero dished out a game-high eight assists. Shy just missed another double-double finishing with nine assists.
Leading the Cardinals
-York's balanced scoring attack was paced by Mambe Koureissi's 13 points. He aslo grabbed 13 boards for the game's only double-double.
-Jaye Bookhart and Donald Hartley added 12 points each.
