Brooklyn, NY---The Brooklyn College men's volleyball team dropped its conference opener this afternoon, falling on the road to Medgar Evers College, 3-1 (25-10, 25-23, 21-25, 25-20).  Brooklyn moves to 2-5 overall with the CUNYAC loss while Medgar Evers remains undefeated with a 6-0 record.  The Bulldogs will look to bounce back at home in non-conference action against Yeshiva University on Tuesday, February 26, at 8:00 pm.  

How It Happened 

-The Cougars finished with a .308 hitting percentage to the Bulldogs' .100. 
-Medgar Evers finished out-killed BC 48-26 for the match.  

Leading the Bulldogs

-Senior setter, Sayuj Zachariah, and freshman middle hitter, Omar Rezika, led BC with seven kills each. 
-Junior setter, Michael Valentin, assisted on a team-high 14 kills.  
-Junior defensive specialist, Utku Tanritanir, finished with a team-high 10 digs. 

Leading the Cougars

-Nius St. Clair had a match-high 23 kills.  Emmanuel Jacquez added 12 kills. 
-Kareem Cyrus set for a match-high 22 assists.
-Gerod Humphrey had a match-high four blocks.
