New York, NY----The Brooklyn College men's volleyball team dropped its final match of the regular season this evening in conference play at Baruch College, 3-0 (25-16, 25-16, 25-13). Brooklyn closes out the regular season with a 10-12 overall record including 2-5 in CUNYAC. Baruch improved to 17-10 and 4-3. Unofficially, the teams will meet against next Tuesday in the quarterfinals of the CUNYAC Championships with Brooklyn entering the tournament as the No. 6 seed and Baruch the No. 3 seed.
How It Happened
-Baruch scored first in all three sets of the match. The Bearcats set the tone for the match with a five-point rally to start the first set.
-The Bearcats put away 38 kills to the Bulldogs' 25 wile hitting .298 to Brooklyn's -.011. Baruch also denied Brooklyn ten times for scores and served for five aces.
-Baruch was led by Nicholas Godino's 15 kills. Meni Musheyev finished with four block assists.
Leading Brooklyn
-Freshman middle hitter,
Omar Rezika, finished with a team-high 12.5 points with 11 kills and a hand in both of Brooklyn's blocks.
-Senior setter,
Sayuj Zachariah, finished with a match-high 21 assists.
-Junior libero,
Snigdho Hasan, had a team-high 11 digs.
