Purchase, NY---Despite scoring its first goal of the young season, the Brooklyn College women's soccer team dropped a non-conference match at Purchase, 3-1, this evening.  BC moves to 0-2-1 to start the season while Purchase improves to 3-0.  The Bulldogs will have a day to prep for their Home Opener on Saturday against local non-conference foe, St. Joseph's College Brooklyn.  Kickoff is set for 12:00 pm.  

Match Summary

-The home team struck first just before halftime in '43.
-Brooklyn sophomore midfielder, Rachel Gomez, scored the equalizer in 57' for the Bulldogs' first net of the season. 
-Purchase scored the game-winner less than a minute after Gomez tied the match.  
-The Panthers added an insurance goal in 62' on a throw-in to the box leading to a one-on-one with the BC keeper.

-Senior keeper, Carmen Proffitt, had nine saves on the evening.
